status repair went from it'll be fixed within 7 business days (when it was received on 11/18) to 10 business days as of today. seriously? wtf?

with the events over the last five days, i'm surprised i haven't shot my foot off. this just kind of tops the cake.

oh wait.

i don't own a gun.

and i don't like cake.

Impulse Lens Purchases...

I'm rather impulsive with my spending habits. This impulsive spending led to the purchase of my first motorcycle at age 29, best impulse buy ever. I impulsive about the purchase of my DSLR too, buying a new Nikon D60 a few months back. I've since captured 1000's of images, mostly snap shots of family and friends, cars, bikes, flowers, etc. Maybe only a couple of dozen images that I really am proud of.

On impulse I bought a 50mm f/1.8 ( 2137 Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Standard Auto Focus Nikkor Lens - with 5 Year U.S.A. Warranty...

Had my daughter this Memorial weekend and we went down to the beach alot. It was a good time for my soul as the week before its just sucked MBs

Nikon 13-300mm f/1.0 VR Lens for only $99!

My first lens was Nikon's versatile 18-200mm VR lens, and I loved it... until I started getting faster 2.8 lenses and now I never even pull out this lens.

So I put all my new lenses back in their cases and popped this 18-200 back onto my D300 to see how it fairs. It's not as fast, but it's very versatile with such a wide focal range.

Is it even worth hanging onto? I think for its versatility, I might as well. Ken Rockwell swears if he was stuck with just one lens, this...

Service Pack 1 comes to Microsoft Windows Vista

So far, so good!

Microsoft finally released Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Windows Vista. I have been an early adopter of Vista, and have found that managing my photos and photo software have ran better under XP than Vista.

So I downloaded the 400Mb service pack and watched an install that took over an hour on my laptop.

I dont notice anything new, regarding features or functionality, but I do notice an increase in speed all throughout the operating...
