some lady was walking around with the d700 yesterday at kenmore camera. i asked 'em if it had been released, yet. they pulled one out for me to look at.

i said "ew."

D3 is different. thats last years model. last year single numbers were cooler. this year not. thats why d700 is the sheeaat...

Nothing unique about it. It's just that the camera was supposed to have been a "rumor," and now it's actually a true product. It's nice to finally see some samples. I can't wait to see actual real pics from other photographers. It's not a question of whether "another" camera can do it. Heck I can probably get a P&S to do the samething. Some of us just might be in the market to buy one...and it's nice to see some results.



I just think it's pretty cool. It's just a statement....no more no less. BTW the D3 and the D700 use the same FX sensor.

So Kenmore has one (or this lady)? I didn't think they were released yet... till the end of July.
