| Administrator | I have a Nikon camera body, and for some reason, I feel compelled to ONLY purchase Nikon lenses. I have looked at Sigma or Tamron, but I still only want to purchase Nikon lenses. I'm not one against third parties, but I feel like supporting the company, and since I have a Nikon, I want to support Nikon over Sigma or Tamron. Then there is the value of resale. I have found that Nikon lenses hold their value much better than third party lenses. What are the pro's and con's, in your opinion, of going third party for lenses? Do you have any problem going third-party? Why or why not?

My Camera: disposable | thirdy party experience with sigma: apparently sigma doesn't make lenses specifically for canon, but simply backwards engineers from existing canon lenses, thus resulting in yellow casts, slow af, and incompatibility with later model cameras. no more sigma for me.
