Weekly Photo Assignment 5 - Grab your camera and be inspired!

Hey, I'm picking up the weekly photo assignment... some things to keep in mind:

The weekly photo assignment is meant to motivate you to pick up your digital camera and go out and shoot some new pictures with the weekly photo assignment in mind.
It’s always easy to find an old picture you took that works with the subject of the assignment, but please post those pictures in the appropriate Picture Galleries section of the forum.
Please try to only post one photo submission for the assignment. If you feel it’s necessary to post up a gallery of multiple pictures, start up a new thread in the Picture Galleries section of the forum.
A new weekly photo assignment will be posted every Monday.

This week's assignment: Urban Life - Everything about life in the cities : public transport, streets, buildings, people, etc.

Ends on Sunday June 8. Please post up your photo submission by then.

i would also like to suggest to have its own section, so people will see the thread right away instead of going to general first and not getting burried by other threads.

Thanks for the feedback - I am thinking of the best way of doing this. I may make a subforum under General Discussion or an entire new main forum alltogether (but dont want to do this because we dont need anymore main forums IMHO).

OK, I will bite.

City, but city--spokane style.

Actually a cool pic as the bridges, buildings, and people that make up the "city" are right in the middle of "nature"...getting soaked by the flooding Spokane River Falls.

Beans, apparently, you were not clear enough in your explanation of the assignment details...

GO TAKE PICTURES AFTER NEW ASSIGNMENT IS GIVEN, DO NOT POST PICTURES CAPTURED PRIOR TO THE ASSIGNMENT DATE.

There... maybe that will help clear up any confusion.

Contest or no contest, captures not taken within the date of the assignment completely defeat the purpose of the thread. It's like starting a thread about oranges, and you post apples... Don't get me wrong, any and all photography does belong on this site, I think people should post more, and in the appropriate places.

Not trying to be a jerk at all about it, but it has been brought up numerous times, even with a very clearly written header by Beans on this very thread, and it is still forgotten.

I had to laugh when you said stadium in BFE!

Losial was the first thing that came to mind!

BTW, I put in the 'down town' pic cuz, I live 20 miles out of town. I probably have not been down town for about 3 weeks before the shot, and haven't been back since (2 weeks ago). I guess I could post up a pic of the Gas Station 3 miles from my home. That is about as "city" as I get.

Hey, maybe I will do just that! LOL.
