favorite lens

which lens do you take with you everywhere you go?
what is your favorite?

what lens suits your type of photography best?

i only have one so i can only say 28-135 is usm canon.

thanx in advance for the ideas you guys will pitch in on this thread.

i hear alot of people say they like 50mm 1.8 coz its cheap and easy on the wallet

My Camera: Nikon D300

I love my Nikon 24-70 2.8 lens. I dont even pull out my other 2.8 lenses. It's a bit heavy, compared to the smaller and faster 50mm, but I still love it!

My Camera: D300 & D200

I cant discriminate! But I use the Tamron 17-35mm f/2.8 more and more. Super fast focus, and tracks well.

i see, is it because zooms give you a lot of options?
this is gonna turn into a prime versus telephotos haha

I have this lens but I just never seem to find the need to use it. I've read its Nikon's workhorse lens but I need to find the opportunity to use it. I might check out a zoo this week and see how it does there.

What lens are you referring to?

Top secret. You wouldn't like it anyways, it's not a Nikon.

When are we taking pictures?

Really? You can give it to me. I'll find about 10000 uses for it.

don't have a singular favorite lens, as they all have different purposes.

My Camera: Pentax K20D

My Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 pretty much lives on my camera full time, so I guess it's my favorite.

I've found that I use my Sigma 70-200 f/2/8 more from 6-25 feet to really isolate a crappy background for flowers than I ever do for distance stuff. And I use it with a closeup filter for most of the macro stuff I shoot too.

Just started playing with my Sigma 10-20mm, though I doubt it'll displace the Tamron as a fave lens.
