Tripod Experience and Recommendations

Just wondering what Tripods you all are using and what you like/dislike about them.

Thanks.

My Camera: disposable

manfrotto/bogen or slik.

sturdy, high quality, and apparently look like rifles.

My Camera: Konica/Minolta Maxxum 7D

Bogen 3233 w/3047 3-way tilt/pan head:

Pros: Big, heavy, stable, solid as a rock, built-in levels (circular 'bullseye' level on base, tilt & pan levels on head). Extremely engineered. Never given me a bit of trouble in 20 years or so.
Cons: Big, heavy. Not something I'm likely to carry around on the bike.

Slik - (Don't remember the model number - it's downstairs right now) Decent, but seems flimsy after using the Bogen. Small and light enough to carry on the bike (I slip it into a jeans leg that I cut off an old pair and strap it on). Relatively low cost.

i thin slik has been upping their quality of products, as the ones i've been seeing in the shops have been pretty comparable to bogen/manfrotto stuff.

if anything i'd go out and kick some tires at the shops.
