Took a nice little 10 mile hike today, they don't have forests like this in Texas!

The "destination"

Flowing from the lake, then immediately to a 40' dropoff

This was the point when i realized we had made a fair vertical climb. we started about 200 or less feet from sea level.

A tree groing out from a cliff. it was basically 40 feet straight above me

They pretty much show the reason I'll never leave the NW...

Actually, they do... it's called the East Texas Big Thicket. You just won't get the same elevation changes.

Photo #2 is undoubtedly my favorite. Nice work!
