^^^^knowing that i'm (prob.) going to buy the successor to that camera, and looking at those pics above, I'm definitely more excited about ordering mine now!

thanks guys. i'm still fairly new at the whole photography thing, and just now getting used to full manual on my camera

that is anacortes taken from oak harbor at a friends place.

the first pic was at 75mm, 400 iso, 15 sec exposure, f10, i'd have to look for the second. most likely about the same (maybe 20 second exposure) and obviously not at 75mm

i bumped up the iso so i could get a shorter exposure, but really i was just playing with some different settings to see what worked.

o i c.

just to point out, if you had wanted 100 iso, you could've pulled it off with some settings at about (very roughly) f4/15sec or f10/30sec.

iso is usually the last thing i adjust if i can't get the shot i want with shutter/aperture settings due to noise, especially at night time since it's more apparent in dark areas. but these images came out pretty clean. good job.

also, it looks like you may have gotten some initial shake in there from pushing the shutter release, is that true? if so, and if you had it either on a tripod or stable platform, i would suggest using the timer for these instances.

yup, the camera shake was from me pushing the button. usually i do put it on timer for long exposures, but i was... not in the clearest of mindsets if you will spring break

Remote Cord / Remote Switch / Shutter Release / Remote Shutter / Shutter Switch Manufacturer exporting direct from China

seems to work fine.
