Have you heard about the "Rule of Thirds"-Imaginary lines are drawn dividing the image into thirds both horizontally and vertically. You place important elements of your composition where these lines intersect. IMO this will help produce nicely balanced and easy on the eye pictures. Again that's my opinion.

| Member Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 44 From: PDX My Camera: Canon 40D | Thanks, I tried to put the bracketing roses on the thirds, and the lamp in the center, we were headed out so I didn't have too much time to try different compositions on the lamp. (Wish I had one with the Lamp in the left third for comparison) |
