My 2nd Photoshoot

These are some good friends of mine. The guy is on my boat, and that's, obviously his girl.

This is my second time taking photos of people, but the first time was of a family of 3. So instead of focusing on all of them and mostly the baby, I actually got to work with and focus only on 2 individuals.

These are clearly post processed pictures. I just wanted to see what others thought.

I'll post more in a couple of days or so.

nice the problem i have with the first and sec pic is that her sweater washes out (taken care of in the last)
If you can darken up the areas to give her sweater deffinition then they would be damned good

Ya, that's true. It was a cold cloudy day that day, otherwise her sweater wouldn't wash out so much...I didn't really notice it. I liked how the background was all white. Looked like they were on a set instead of on the waterfront. But now that you mention I notice it more.

Thanks for the input.

Yep, I'd stay just monitor your exposure levels a little better and you'll be sittin' good. Did you take these in RAW? If so, super easy to fix over/under exposed images with good software.

My Camera: disposable

these are cool. the softening is a little overdone in some areas, but the color saturation in the first two are nice.

the last one makes me want to yell "get a room."

Well, they're not underexposed, actually. My camera said light levels were just right.

And no, I didn't take them in RAW...I have no idea what that is, or how to do anything with it.......yet. But in due time I'll eventually have the time to figure some of it out....Hopefully. lol.

Ya. I normally don't do the soft focus very often on my edits, but alot of their pictures I felt like something was missing when I didn't have it. I could have, I guess, just lessened the softness but still had it. Oh well, to late now.

Ya, I use Picasa, right now, for my basic edits. And I didn't even use the actual saturation feature they have. It makes it look ridiculous. Instead I increased the entire fill light, and then increased the shadows. Really brings out lots of color.

Thanks guys!

It's been a little while, so I figured I'd put up a few more pics from this shoot.

Well, here's the last of what I'm gonna put up here for a while. My boat's getting ready to go to sea REALLY soon here, so I figured I'd put up the last of these pics. Let me know what you think...

And yes, the first pic is the same exact pic as the sepia one above, but just in color.
