Water Marks...

I was wondering what the easiest to use software is for water marking pictures. I am building a site and want to watermark a bunch of pictures that I am using for it. So what programs have worked best for you guys?

You can use Photoshop, Fireworks, or nearly any photo-editing program out there. It's just creating your watermark as one file, and then adding it to any picture(s) that you want to watermark.

I just made a paintbrush in photoshop. That made it REALLY easy. Pick a colour that goes with your picture, drop opacity to something that won't detract, slap it on a separate layer so you can move it around if you want (or heck...add a drop shadow) and then call it good.

If you have Lightroom, it can add watermarks and re-size your images as you export them, great for batch processing event photos.

we designed a quick logo based on an aperature then chose a font that's similar to what we use on our contracts.... then typically just instert it into the photo.... if i'm taking the time to watermark it there's probably a reason so I make it be an obnoxious watermark. When I do this, though, I will set it's transparency to about 70-80%
