My Camera: Canon 5d mark II
External flash question

I currently have a canon speedlite 580ex and am looking to get a second flash for a slave. Do I need to get another 580ex or should I get a speedlite 430ex?

Thanks in advance,

Jonah

you don't need another 580, but having two flashes of the same power is much easier to work with than an unequal pair. I have 2 580s and a 430, but rarely use the 430. Want to buy my 430?

How much do you want for the 430? The 430 can't be used as a master, can it?

nope. 430 can't act as a master.

PM me if interested in buying. I also have a Sto-Fen diffuser for it.
