Wmrra - 8/8/09 & 8/9/09

So I finally got to break in the 50D.

It'll be a few days before all the photos are posted up as I have an absolutely crazy amount to filter through and review, but more and more should pop up over the next couple days.

Here's a couple of my favorites from the weekend that have "passed QA" thus far:

Now if I only had some real glass to shoot with. This slow-@$$ 70-300 isn't cutting it anymore.

what shutter speed were you able to get up to with the overcast?

I spent nearly the whole weekend right around 1/200. I got 1/160 to look good on a few as well. I tried going down to 1/120, but between the crazy clouds changing every 2.5 seconds, a non-fancy lens, and trying to shoot a speedy subject, they didn't turn out very well at anything under that speed.
