Resellers jacking up prices?

So I've been trying to get a couple of lenses online for the past two weeks. One is the canon 100mm macro and the other is the canon 15mm fisheye. For some reason, nobody has these lenses. Everyone is out of stock.

And then I see some Amazon vendor with the fisheye with a 300% markup over msrp. ARGH.

I did a quick history check on a few lenses (like macro, fisheye, 24-105) and saw that the prices have risen around $200-$300 in the past few months.

Are resellers making a run at camera gear and artificially raising prices? Anyone who's looked at gear recently notice this?

I have noticed that online retailers like adorama and bh have upped their price to closer to MSRP prices.

Tokina 11-16mm went from $569 to $599 (Samy's Camera is still at $569 if anyone's interested).
Nikon 18-200mm went from $699 to $749
Nikon 105mm VR went from $799 to $899
etc

At this rate I might as well go for the new 100mm L IS lens. Wish there were some examples pics already. The MTF chart looks ridiculous though.

The new lens is almost twice what even the marked up old lens is. Roberts Imaging has the 100 2.8 Macro in stock.
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM

that's due to the new lens being an L and having IS. IS adds at least $300 on its own.

For those on a budget though it really doesn't justify the cost for a macro (even buying a solid tripod with the old lens is less expensive), or to upgrade from the original (which should have had the L designation anyways as the quality is so good). Now if they could have taken it to f2 or 1.8 then it would be great for more than macro, although that would hurt sales of the 85mm line.
