Why does the skeptic in me doubt the ability of such a system to work as they describe? Is the camera sensor really visible to the system long enough for it to react if the shutter is only open for the small fractions of a second that they are? But if it does, just make sure you are using a camera with a CMOS sensor instead of CCD, no need to go back to film.

Don't quote me but I thought a laser beam always ran in a straight line . I guess as long as you were out of direct vision of the beam you would be fine! That is IF the beam was real.
