Flying Dragons

So I sat around this pond in E. Wash. during the day when I wasn't out Elk hunting because of the heat and worked on catching these guy's.

Forgive any bad ones due to processing as my laptop is dead right now due to a power connection issue on the mother board.

So I have to work on them on the old family desktop with a old Version 4 of Photoshop.
These are all Jpeg's, as I can't access the RAW files.

Very cool Kirk. Just curious, how many shots did you take in total?

Thanks everyone, It was fun and relaxing to do.
Just sat in my chair along the water with my mono pod between my legs and watched and waited.

At 200mm with the focus set to 21points wait for the hover that may last 3-6 seconds, hit focus, then zoom to 400mm, switch the center focus point, then hold the button down to grab as many shots as the buffer could hold.
Sometimes focus wouldn't even see them do to the grassy background.

I counted 139 pictures, all are like these, I choose these based on where the wings were in the stroke. I mean, you get the idea from these 9 right?
I also counted the missing files, either deleted while shooting because of a miss, or focus issue.
There are 31 files missing. Not a bad ratio, if I do say so myself

#2 in particular I like. The wings get lost in the darker backgrounds, the blue against the green looks cool
