Pea Island Wildlife Refuge, N.C.

Took a trip to N.C. last week and managed to spend an afternoon at the Outer Banks. Snagged these shots of the sunsetting over the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge. The ocean is on the wrong side for ocean sunsets there and there was no way I was getting up for a sunrise, I like sleeping in.

This is manually stitched together from 5 shots. The only time on the trip I wish I had taken the tripod with me.

And another shot a few minutes later when an egret started feeding in the reflecting light...
