Sensor Cleaning

How often do you clean your sensor on your camera? Any advice on how to do this, while not compromising the hardware?

From all of the reviews and forums, this seems to be one of the better options:

CCD / CMOS Cleaning Photo Gallery by Nicholas R. at pbase.com

I got the wet/dry kit shortly after I got my camera, but have seen nothing to indicate that the sensor needs cleaning... so I haven't touched it. Unless you're seeing dust specks it's best to leave it alone.

That's some good info! Thanks!

One of my camera bodies has a self-cleaning sensor, do these really work?

i'd take it to a shop to get it cleaned. if i've already spent this much on a hobby, i can spare a few bucks to get it professionally cleaned instead of risking the chance of fucking up the super sensitive screen.

it's not a motorcycle.
