My Camera: Nikon D700
Needed: Photog for mother's wedding: July 24th

My mom's getting married during July of this year, we would like a photographer to cover the ceremony (2 hrs shooting).
I'd shoot this myself, but I want to be in the wedding. This shouldn't call for more than 1 photog...

Straightforward:
-July 24th
-Merrywood Farm, Oregon City
-150 guests
-Ceremony: 5pm at night
-Outdoor wedding, outdoor reception
-Shooting 4:30-6:30pm, +/- 30

Could you provide:
-rate(s)
-a link to previous wedding work

Thanks all for your help, I would really like to give some work to another shooter here.
Nikon shooters are more than welcome to use my gripped D700/50 1.4G/70-200 VR II/SB-900 setup if you've only got 1 body, etc...

you have ~$7000 worth of camera equipment. you must know what you're doing enough to shoot your mother's next wedding. i vote you give it a shot yourself. unless i guess you really just don't know what you're doing. but i bet you do. go practice at the locations in advance to test out ideas/lighting/etc...

I've got the equipment, but not the experience. We want a photog b/c I'd like to be IN the wedding, and there aren't many family pics w/me in them (go figure). Also, I don't know how to PP images...literally. I've never used photoshop in my life. It's pretty bad...

Just hoping to give some work to someone local, who'd got some wedding experience but nonetheless will have a pretty laid-back gig here..

well that's understandable. i didn't even think about you wanting to be in the wedding instead of taking pictures.

Bump.
Updated the date, time, and the address.

Anyone interested in a straightforward, no crazy in-laws, photog-friendly wedding ceremony?

Thanks

-michael

i'd raise my hand, but i've already got something else going on july 24th. good luck finding someone. shouldn't be too difficult. in fact, i'm surprised no one's jumped on this already.

so this was my most recent engagement shoot that I did...that is the quality and style that I usually do.

I can get you a link to a wedding or 2, but they were shot with my sister-in-law and her business partner so they were not on my own. the weddings I have lined up this summer are the first ones I will be solely responsible for. I do have some experience in wedding and quite a bit of overall photography experience

Thanks for the link Raven! PM replied to.

If anyone else has any interest in this, please let me know asap. I liked many of Raven's pics, but would like to be able to present a few styles/options.

Like I mentioned, pretty laid-back gig. They should be more interested in the digital files (maybe a couple 8x11 prints) than in the traditional, hand-bound books and a million wallet prints. So, it should be an easy job (shoot, process, burn/upload), not too much work for a wedding photog IMO.

thanks again all, just surprised no one else is interested in a few hours of shooting with a photog-friendly audience?

I'd be interested if I was closer...nearly six hour drive.
