track critique

I'm bored and thought I'd post for critique of a track shot.

Lets hear your opinion! How would you improve this photo?

ON this shot the only thing I might have done different would have been to wait a half second longer to get some separation between the two riders so they didn't blend in together.

Thanks Tony. If I'd had waited a half second longer, they probably wouldn't have been in the frame Maybe 1/10 of a second longer

I hear what you're saying

If I have to find something, maybe blur or crop the grass that is in focus on the right side, it is a little distracting.

jervis' bike and suit blend in a little too well, or the bike is getting a bit washed out on the non-plate side. something's drawing me away from him... could just be sully's suit. all it needs is flashy lights every half inch. dunno if you can clone out the weed on the bottom left, but it's a little random too.

dof is perfect, though. don't see that too often with, um, "certain" photographers.

Ah... it's always the little details that I miss, and the weeds. I hate yard work.

My opinion a better angle with less glare on the front of the bike.. DOF is sweet, got some blur on the tires for motion, I think its a sweet pic. Wish someone would take pics of me riding. haha.

I'd like to have more depth of field to bring the rear rider in focus. This looks like a story and shot the way it is it winds up being a portrait. As a portrait, the second bike detracts from the principle. With both bikes in the picture, it would look like a race and have more impact. Just my idea.

I think it's a great shot as well. Maybe we feel like we have to say something about it since we are being asked. Comp, Exp and everything else was A+
