What... no recent local basketball shots?

Wow, with all the tournaments going on for state titles in the last two weeks I would have expected a few basketball action shots to pop up here.

A few from games I've been shooting lately...

Battling up the middle for the shot...

Driving the lane...

No chance of getting this shot off...

Softly over the defender...

Concentrate on the rebound...

Fight for posession!!!

Nice block...

There's no yodeling in basketball...

A few more.

It's easy when you are a foot taller to go over the defender...

Dang... there they go again...

I'll take that foul anytime...

Western District III Champs and on the way to Yakima for the 2 A tourney next weekend..

Nice shots,. very good capture of the action. you seem to have a good eye for having the camera pointed at the right place and right time. so, how many pics total were taken for the ones you posted?

Thanks, timing on the action gets easy as the season nears the end.
I shoot around 100-110 pictures from each game and get anywhere from 70-90 images worth posting up on the web album for the teams. Most of the deletes are from when I shoot more than one shot in a row, seems the first is usually the one I want.

Some more albums of the action from one of the schools I shoot for can be seen at PictureTrail - Gallery

I'm just glad spring sports are starting up. I'd much rather be outside shooting in daylight than in the dark gyms.

No more than any other picture I process. Most of the time I use USM after any adjustments with the sliders set at of sharpness 105%, radius 1.5 ,threshold 0.
