the hexagonal shaped instrument in the 2nd photo (reflecting in darkness) is a little distracting. IMO, some cross-lighting of the stored equipment in front of the helicopter would have given it a better feel: more industrial, mechanical, etc.

I like the composition of the first, but needs the exposure opened up some and increase to the contrast.
I like the second one also, but like Michael said the front of the other helicopter in the shadows is a bit distracting making me want to see what it is back there. Either open up the shadows so we can see what's there or completely darken them to remove the distraction. I'd also like to see the exposure and contrast on the main subject increased. Examples of either way... ![]()
