Salvageing my first HDR attempt..
I had originally shot this as a set of bracketed raw shots but because it was shot hand held and I didn't set a fixed aperture it had bad ghosting I couldn't fix.
So I decided to take one and try a single image HDR..

The original shot
I know it's dark.. The longer exposures don't have the color in the sky I was looking for..

I like the original better....the Big rock is out of focus and in the HDR you can tell...just my .02

Not so sure this is the best use of HDR since there really is not much range of light in between the shadows and highlights to work with.
Try using the shadow/highlight tool to open up the shadows (about 20% amount, 10% tonal width, and 5% radius) just enough to see the sand and then work the colors from there. Then maybe crop out some of the dead sand space at the bottom. |
