My Camera: is brand new
I gave it my best try but didn't have much luck - this is the big dipper over Rattlesnake Ledge in NB.

Info:

Frame up the shot, if you can see it
access built in level in viewing screen and tilt and lock level left to right.
Switch on Live view and magnify 50% with focus in manual, turn focus ring till brightest stars come into focus, rack it back and forth for perfect focus.
Set to timer mode, :30 sec, f2.8 ISO3200 27mm
After shot, tilt up 50% and repeat 4 more times.

Load all 5 RAW shots into ACR, correct WB, Sat, contrast, NR, ETC.
Apply to all 5 images and save.
Open them in PTGui and stitch, then save as single image.
Easy.
