No hunters allowed
For whatever reason we've seen a lot of elk in the neighborhood in the last few weeks. But they have all been cows. Then we saw him hanging around yesterday. Not that it's much of a picture that I took out the car window, but he sure is a good looking young bull.

It looks like my first elk has a little company.
We counted 65 in all including 11 bulls. If you haven't heard elk bugling it's quite a sound, and this bunch is very vocal. They're usually in the same place every evening if anyone wants to come up to watch and listen to them. ![]() There are at least 2 six point bulls.
