Adobe CS5
I just picked up Adobe CS4 Master Suite Collection and I'm not seeing enough differences to justifying the upgrade from CS3.
Anyone else make the upgrade? Thoughts? I have CS3 and CS4 both loaded on my Mac and I can run them side by side and I'm not finding much of anything different. A few more options here and there, but nothing evolutionary. I hope Adobe CS5 is better than this. |

How much HDD space did CS4 require?

Yes. CS4 was well worth it for the dramatic improvements in handling the 3D graphic work I do.

Keep in mind this is the Master Suite Edition which has every Adobe product known to mankind... I did a full install for my Mac, and it took up around 28GB of hard drive.

It'll be a decent upgrade for me since I'm still running CS2.

I just upgraded and I had endless trouble. After a lot of research I found what the problem was. On windows if you want to get the full benefit of CS4 run Windows 64bit. CS4 is the first truly 64bit Adobe suite and takes full advantage of Win 64bit. So with CS4 and CS3 both installed on a 64bit machine CS4 will run way faster.
It is also important to note that CS4 runs it interface on you graphics card memory, so if you card is not good it will glitch. I am a graphic designer / web designer and the improvements to Dreamweaver and Indesign where both worth the upgrade. The purchase of a $2000 dollar system to make it run was not. |
