Hey nice seein ya post a few photos Eric.

I like that last one, looks like the same shot location as Orhun and JayT's photo from a while back. Liking your last photo best.

It is the same spot.


Was kind of hard to take photos, there was a group of 5 bums there who kept asking me questions.

I went back out there tonight as it was perfectly clear out. Here's another pano of the city (click for larger again.)



I used my 50mm this time and I'm really happy with how sharp it came out. Here's a 100% crop of it:




I shot the tree photo again but I like the first version better. I love how the tree was a silhouette against the foggy sky. I couldn't get a silhouette against the clear sky tonight so I tried lighting it up with strobes but it just didn't turn out very well.

I also tried shooting some star trails over downtown but it's going to take some work to make them pop against the sky. Hopefully I'll post that tomorrow.

Very nice... what settings are you using here?

I can't remember for sure. I think 13 second exposures and f/7.1.
