HDR View from the condo - Calgary, Alberta

So I FINALLY got to move out of the Marriott (after nearly 3 months) and into a condo... this is my first attempt at the whole HDR thing... I took these with my $200 Sony H3 so nothing too fancy but it does have bracketing so... on to the show!

Here is the view from my rooms balcony

Here is another off the living room balcony

sure HDR is "over rated" but I'm still turned on by the whole dramatic color range deal, these were done with photomatix.

I'm on the 14th floor of the River West building, that is the west side of the Bow River that runs around the down town area. Oddly enough another co-worker just moved into the 19th floor of the "red" building in the first photo. After trying this again last night with a longer exposure I discoverd that I really need a better tripod for this... (the $14 portable just isn't going to cut it... although I did manage with it before... so..)
