| Administrator | wedding pics in a super small church makes for tough camera shots I had the unlucky task of taking pictures at a wedding ceremony this past weekend. Nothing went as planned, and I had way too much anxiety to be out there taking pictures. The wedding was suppose to start at 1pm, and I was told to be there by Noon and they gave me the wrong address. On the drive there, the groomsmen didnt have any cuff links so my friend in the wedding called me to pick some up, and the wedding didnt start until after 2pm. My friend asked me to take pictures at the wedding, and I'm like "you get what you pay for" as I dont want to be responsible for messing up memories. Hire a real photographer, I'm just an enthusiastic hobbyist at most. Here are a few moments from the wedding ceremony: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I would say the only "real" critique I notice is tipping the camera with the brides father; and the shadow behind the other gentleman. I really like how you got down low to the little girl's eye level for the shot of the flower girl. Good job! Were you using your 28-70 f/2.8 lens?

| Administrator | Yeah, I used my D300 with my 28-70 2.8 lens and my SB800 flash and Quantum battery pack. I learned more about my flash than I did my camera during the wedding. The next day I used my flash more and realized I'm getting better at Fill and TTL.

And you even survived it ![]() You got some really nice shots there, and the sepia tone *really* works well. Gives them a sort of timeless, very classy look. (I do get a feeling like I want to nudge a couple of them a little straighter, though, unless the bride & father really *were* a little wasted and leaning over.)
